Jarþrúður Þórhallsdóttir has worked as a Rights Protection Officer (RPO) for disable people. Disabled people who feel like they have been wronged or violated in any way seek the support of the RPOs, including women who have been subject to any form of violence. Jarþrúður Þórhallsdóttir was one of the researchers on the first Icelandic study that focused solely on violence against disabled women.
